The Ulysse Nardin Diver X Skeleton Azure ref. 3723-170-2B/3A is interesting for the way it combines two very different sides of the brand: the functional Diver platform and the highly architectural skeletonized movement used in the Blast Skeleton family. The open dial exposes the UN-372 manufacture caliber, with the movement’s bridges and oversized oscillator become part of the watch’s design.
The UN-372 is an automatic skeleton movement with a silicon oversized oscillator, silicon escapement wheel, anchor and hairspring, operating at 21,600 vph with a 72-hour power reserve. The movement contains 187 components and 23 jewels.
The case is 44mm black DLC-coated titanium, paired with a Carbonium® unidirectional bezel and an azure rubber strap. Despite the openworked construction, it remains a genuine diver with 200 meters of water resistance. The black-and-azure X architecture is what gives this particular reference its identity and separates it from the more conventional Diver models.
